چکیده

Over the past few years, there has been substantial growth in multiplereference-station networks used to overcome the limitations of standard realtime kinematic (RTK) systems. SydNET is a project to establish a permanent real-time GPS network in the Sydney basin area providing Network-RTK support to users in the area. SydNET is being developed by NSW Department of Lands in partnership with the School of Surveying & SIS at the University of New South Wales. This paper presents recent developments of the SydNET network. Preliminary test results will be presented which will show the network’s performance, achievable accuracy. It will outline the SydNET system, its operation, current status and vision of future development as a high precision positioning service infrastructure.

Implementing network - RTK : the SydNET CORS infrastructure

As is well known, the limitation of single-base real-time kinematic (RTK) GPS carrier phase-based techniques is the constrained distance between base receiver and the rover receiver due to distance-dependent measurement biases. For high productivity GPS surveying techniques, requiring very fast on-the-fly ambiguity resolution, the baseline length is generally restricted to less than 10km. Howev...

Evaluation of the Efficiency of the Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) in the Modeling of the Ionosphere Total Electron Content Time Series Case Study: Tehran Permanent GPS Station

Global positioning system (GPS) measurements provide accurate and continuous 3-dimensional position, velocity and time data anywhere on or above the surface of the earth, anytime, and in all weather conditions. However, the predominant ranging error source for GPS signals is an ionospheric error. The ionosphere is the region of the atmosphere from about 60 km to more than 1500 km above the eart...

Real Time Mapping with Dgps-enabled Navigation Equipment

Today, differential GPS techniques allow common GPS receivers to achieve the precision levels required for mapping purposes. The development of systems for mobile Internet access (mainly GPRS) provides a fast and reliable method for feeding differential corrections to a GPS receiver in any area covered by a cell telephone network. With the increase in the available bandwidth, and the example of...

Application of Running Average Function to Non-dispersive Errors of Network-Based Real-Time Kinematic Positioning

The GPS errors can be separated into a frequency-dependent or dispersive component (e.g. the ionospheric delay) and a non-dispersive component (e.g. the tropospheric delay and orbit biases). Dispersive and nondispersive errors have different dynamic effects on the GPS network corrections. The former exhibit rapid changes with high variations due to the effect of free electrons in the ionosphere...

Iranian Permanent GPS Network Receivers Differential Code Biases Estimation Using Global Ionospheric Maps

Measurements of the dual frequency Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers can be used to calculate the electron density and the total electron content (TEC) of the ionosphere layer of the Earth atmosphere. TEC is a key parameter for investigating the ongoing spatial and temporal physical process of the ionosphere. For accurate estimation of TEC from GPS measurements, GPS satellites and GPS r...
